Meet Marina Sans
Marina is fascinated to experience:
- Connection with the essence of (human)life;
- The potential of the body intelligence;
- Different consciousness states;
- In-depth human connections and relationships;
- Interconnections within the self (body, mind, spirit) as well as with one another, nature, the world around us & beyond.
She embodies an accurate, intelligent, informed, subtle yet deep touch, which loves to listen, sense & invite to consciousness each part of the body anatomy, and through it, explore other bodies connected to the physical one.
For her, inviting these invisible layers to consciousness is the start point for a body-mind-soul process, in which the receiver’s genuine needs can emerge and be perceived, felt and seen. This way the body (being), through its natural intelligence and expression can find back its own realignment.
Marina’s deep connection to water started even before she was born. Her mother had a condition called hydramnios during pregnancy, which meant the embryo was surrounded by higher-than-average amounts of water. Her name is derived from the Latin word “marinus,” which means “from the sea”. And she was born in March, a Pisces in the Zodiac! She is a loving, compassionate and intuitive person, with an innate ability for empathy, who can deeply connect with another’s feelings.
She lived much of her life on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, diving into it almost daily as her personal morning ritual.
As a young adult, longing for connection with the essence of life, she worked as an anthropological documentary maker and traveled the world, immersing herself mostly in Africa and the Brazilian Amazon, where she learned from and about different primordial cultures, living amongst them.
Today her background is enriched by continuous practice and studies on somatic work, movement disciplines, dance, re-patterning bodywork and aquatic bodywork modalities.
While she dedicates herself to support humans in their life processes, through aquatic somatic sessions, she is passionate about sharing her wisdom by training others to do so, as well.
That’s how her unique program LIQUIDCOSMOS TRAINING: AQUATIC SOMATIC BODYWORK, came to light.
A big part of the material she shares is the result of her investigative studies on how to apply BMC (Body-Mind-Centering), experiential anatomy principles into Aquatic Bodywork. This makes her work very unique within the aquatic practices world.
In her courses you get to experience, touch, connect, explore on yourself and another through the different body layers and systems (cells, joints, fascia, bones, organs, glands, fluids, nervous system, etc..).
Her trainings also include elements of outer disciplines that inspired her along her development such as:
- Aguahara & Watsu (studies in Aquatic Bodywork),
- Contact Improvisation (she’s been practicing for 20 years),
- Butoh dance,
- Ritual & Nature dance
- Emotional release disciplines
- Breathwork & Pranayama
- Freediving.
As everything else in this world, Marina is in constant transformation, so LIQUIDCOSMOS is also an ongoing development, a constant investigation. Marina keeps incorporating new tools and information, as her personal experience, knowledge and wisdom grow. By trying to always learn more and expand further, she challenges herself to keep enriching her trainings and her passion, with outer modalities, self development techniques and practical advises that only a person that spends an average six hours a day in water can give you.
But as Marina herself is in constant transformation, LIQUIDCOSMOS is in ongoing development and investigation, and she incorporates new tools meanwhile her personal-tool-box expands by trying to meet new needs she discovers following her passion for learning to enrich life.
So you’ll find that lately she is adding elements connected to the self-care for the facilitator, such as grounding yoga/taichi practices, nutrition & skin/ears care, due her spending-hours-daily-in-warm-water experience.
As well as adding relational & spiritual tools coming from NVC, (nonviolent communication),Authentic Relating and Authentic Movement.
